Following round one of the tournament, the doubles team of Vallette and Hoth played advanced to the second round. Also making it to round two were singles players Whisnant and Schlosser. Though their season ended in the second round of the state tournament, tennis coach Ms. Stephanie Blakemore (‘11) is proud of the team’s accomplishment.

“This year’s team is young,” said Ms. Blakemore, “so making it to the state competition was the main goal.”  She also noted that as a young yet talented team, the girls can improve their skills for future competitions.
